About Mercury Press

At Mercury Press, we offer work by Rudolf Steiner and authors whose writings resonate with Anthroposophy, wisdom within the human being—work that speaks to being an authentic human being.

Our time is filled with questions that can be troubling.  What is the essence of who I am?  How am I serving the good?  What responsibility do I bear?  What makes me conscious?  What else?  We seek as we will—as individuals.

Our publications do speak to these issues and many others, guiding one’s quest, deepening resolve to heal ourselves and those we care for, and helping make sense of a world that is increasingly out of balance. In these times, we encounter both encouragement and opposition. Recognizing what is present, we carry on and strive to move forward with our tasks.

Mercury Press operates under the umbrella of the Rudolf Steiner Fellowship Foundation, within the Fellowship Community, an intergenerational community concerned with enlivening care of people and of the land.  Funds generated by the Press help facilitate care for elderly community members.  In addition to publishing books, we provide for the community’s printing needs and produce main lesson books used by Green Meadow Waldorf School and teachers in other areas.

Although we do have a modest production rate, we are always interested in reading original texts for possible publication, after receiving an initial query and brief synopsis.  Writing that renews Rudolf Steiner’s thinking about what it means to be human appeals to us. Our objective is not to meet popular interest, but rather to revive the slumbering spirit within the human being for the 21st century.

With that in mind, we are pleased to announce the publication of Healing Plants III  by Wilhelm Pelikan; The Cherubinic Wanderer by Angelus Silesius (verses selected by Bertram von Zabern); “Natural Science at the Crossroads” (a lecture, GA 56, by Rudolf Steiner); and Therapeutic Eurythmy for the Eyes by Daniela Armstrong.  Forthcoming publications include: The Year of Destiny: 1923 in the History of the Anthroposophical Society, compiled by Marie Steiner and Early Beginnings of Anthroposophically Extended Medicine and Therapeutic Education in North America, compiled by Bertram von Zabern.

We could certainly accomplish more if we had more resources. If you like what you read, and have help to offer, please let us know.  The pandemic and other external events have adversely affected our sales, prompting our plea for your financial support to help us regain a balance that has tipped during this precarious pivot.

Although Mercury Press came into existence as a labor of love, we must meet our expenses.  It is our hope that support from our friends and customers can help us continue to operate.  If you are able to donate, please do so via the PayPal link below, and know that your contribution is sincerely appreciated.  Thank you for considering our work.

Blessings, health and peace to you and your loved ones during 2021
and beyond.
